Your Akron Zoo is dedicated to connecting our community to wildlife while inspiring lifelong learning and conservation action. As a private nonprofit, we rely on the philanthropic support of individuals and organizations.

When you support the Akron Zoo, you:

  • Provide food and medical care for our more than 1,000 animals
  • Offer educational programs to students in our community and beyond
  • Make a difference locally and globally through our conservation efforts
  • Impact the growth of the zoo through habitat renovations and expansions
  • And so much more!

Check out the many different ways you can support your Akron Zoo and determine what option is best for you.

For more information on ways to support the Akron Zoo, please contact the External Affairs Department at 330-375-2550 ext. 7220.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company offers a matching gift incentive, simply request a matching gift form from your employer and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest! The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled. Check with your Human Resources department for information specific to your employer.

Honors and Memorials

At this time, our commemorative program is on hold. This includes benches and plaques throughout the zoo. Should you wish to make a gift in honor or memory of someone, you can choose from the programs currently available.

If you have questions or for more information, please contact Kate Bame at 330-375-2550 ext. 7208 or k.bame@akronzoo.org.
