Akron Zoo member discounts will appear once tickets have been added to your cart. Please make sure to log in and then continue to check out to view your member discount. We do have a new online system and all guests will need to create a new account if they have not done so already after March 1, 2019.
Zoocamp FAQs and Info Zoocamp COVID Policies
ZooCamp for Ages 6-12
Camp activities include a tour of the zoo, a chance to meet zoo staff and animal keepers, animal encounters, a t-shirt, crafts and activities.
Campers may be signed up for the camp that reflects their age as of the first day of the camp they wish to attend. Children must have completed kindergarten by June 2022 to participate in these camps.
Five Day Camps - Half Day
Campers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and a snack if they so desire.

Ages 6-8 years
Animal Tracks
June 12 – 16, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
For scientists studying animals in nature, actually finding the animal is sometimes the hardest task. Campers are introduced to animal tracking and the signs animals leave behind. Become a master tracker and learn how to find the animals wherever you are!
Art Safari
August 7 – 11, 9am -12pm or 1pm - 4pm
Animals have always been celebrated in different forms of art. From paintings to sculpture to dance and music – we’ll explore all forms of art and make some of our own with a messy ZooCamp twist! – This week is recommended for Campers who love arts & crafts!
Prickly, Poisonous or Pretending
July 10 – 14, 9am -12pm or 1pm - 4pm
From rattling quills to natural toxins, or pretending to be dangerous! Come discover the many ways animals have developed prickly, poisonous and other essential ways to defend themselves.
Ages 9-12 years

Five Day Camps - Full Day
All Five-Day camps run 9am – 4pm. Campers are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottle and snack should they need it during the day. Campers are required to bring a packed lunch with them. We will NOT be offering Meal Deals through the Zoo Café.

Animals may not have a kitchen, bedroom, or roof over their heads, but they all need a special place to live. From deserts to tropical forests and from oceans to savannahs, find out what’s happenin’ in their hopping habitats. Each day campers will learn about the many types of habitats, from rainforests to dessert, and everything in between.

One Day Family Camp
Families, ages 3 years and older: 9 am - 12 pm

- Non-Members: $45 per person
Explore the zoo in a new way as a family and join a family camp. Investigate animals up close and discover what you can do at home to help our native wildlife.
Junior Keeper Experience
Teens ages 13 to 16
Thursdays: June 15, 22, 29, July 13, 20, 27, August 3 & 10
Limited Space!

Ever wonder what it is like to be a zookeeper? This program offers teens the chance to work with our keepers in non-dangerous animal areas. For this special half-day program, join us either in the morning or afternoon getting hands on what Zoo Keepers do. Limit 3 participants per session. For safety reasons, proper attire and closed toed shoes MUST be worn.
