I am an Akron Zoo member. Why am I being charged for tickets?
  1. First, make sure you’re logged into your online account. We have a new online system and all guests, including Akron Zoo members, will need to create a new account if they have not done so since March 1, 2019. After creating an account, check the upper right corner and make sure you are logged in. Purchasing a membership does not automatically create an account, and creating an account will not automatically log you in.
  2. Make sure you select Member Adult and Member Child tickets. Member discounts will not apply to regular Adult or Child tickets.
  3. Akron Zoo member discounts will appear once tickets have been added to your cart.  Please make sure to log in and then continue to check out to view your discount.
I am an Akron Zoo member and I’m logged in to my online account, but I’m still being charged for tickets.

Please call the zoo at 330-375-2550 to verify that your membership is linked correctly to your online account. If you’ve moved recently, or you used different contact info than what is on your membership, this may be the case.

I don’t know what my password is for my online account. How do I reset it?

You can reset your password by clicking “Forgot your password?” and enter your email. You’ll then receive an email to reset your password. (Make sure to also check your spam folder.) The Akron Zoo is not able to reset passwords for security purposes.

I don’t remember what email I used for my online account, or my email is not working. What should I do?

Please call the zoo at 330-375-2550 and we can verify the email address currently connected to your account. We can also edit this email in case of errors.

I don’t have my membership ID. How do I set up my online account?

You do not need your member ID number. When you create your online account, make sure to use the same contact info that is on your membership. The system will automatically apply your membership to your account. If you do not think your membership is linked correctly, please call the zoo at 330-375-2550.

Why do I need to select a date to visit?

Tickets to the Akron Zoo are date-specific. You must select the exact date you want to visit. The system will default to the next available date.

I do not see the date that I want to visit.

If your date and/or time does not appear, that means there are no longer tickets available for that time frame. The system will automatically default to the next available date and time with tickets available.

I have a membership gift certificate, but I want to visit the zoo. How do I redeem my membership?

Bring your membership gift certificate with you to activate your membership at the ticket counter

I am a member at an AZA reciprocal zoo. How do I get my discount?

AZA reciprocal tickets are not available online. You must bring your reciprocal zoo membership card and photo ID to our ticket counter to receive the discount.

Attention Cleveland Zoo Members: Cleveland Zoo members may purchase up to four general admission tickets at $8 each when visiting the Akron Zoo. To receive the discount, please show your active membership card and photo I.D. at the ticket counter. This change has been made to align with the Cleveland Zoo's reciprocity offer.

I have an Ohio EBT card. How do I get the Museums for All discount?

Bring your Ohio EBT card and photo ID to our ticket counter to receive your discounted tickets. Museums for All tickets are NOT available online.
