About Elephant Ear

Elephant ear is a tropical plant with huge, bright green leaves that can grow up to five feet tall and equally wide. As the name suggests, its broad, veiny leaves somewhat resemble the ears of an elephant. This plant is very adaptable and can grow in containers, in soil or even in water gardens. Elephant ear will quickly fill any space it is given, so gardeners who wish to keep it contained must be vigilant. In warm, humid areas, these plants are great for creating mixed borders, rain gardens, water margins and large containers.
