The Akron Zoo is partnering with Akron Children’s Museum to offer one of the museum’s popular exhibits, Mini Monster Course, at the Akron Zoo for a limited time. The Mini Monster Course is available now through Friday, March 25 in the zoo’s Komodo Kingdom building.

The Mini Monster Course is a child-friendly obstacle course that includes a tunnel, balance beam, stair steps, stepping stones and more. There are two courses, one for toddlers, ages one – three, and another for kids, ages four – 12. Akron Children’s Museum Mini Monster Course at the Akron Zoo is presented by Robert O. and Annamae Orr Family Foundation.

Through March 25, Akron Zoo members will receive buy-one-get-one free admission into the Akron Children’s Museum. In return, Akron Children’s Museum members will receive free admission into the Akron Zoo.

“I am so grateful for Ben Tegel, one of the museum’s Lifetime Trustees, who had the vision to create a course that promotes one of the museum’s pillars, Health & Wellness,” said Traci J. Buckner, executive director at Akron Children’s Museum. “Now, with the support of our Akron Zoo friends and the Orr family, we are able to share the course with even more children in our community.”

“The Akron Children’s Museum is a wonderful gem that the greater Akron community is very fortunate to have,” said Doug Piekarz, president & CEO at the Akron Zoo. “We are thrilled to be able to partner with the museum and offer our guests the opportunity to explore what the Akron Children’s Museum has to offer.”
