The Akron Zoo has donated supplies to the Summit County Emergency Management Agency. The zoo donated approx. 1,400 N-95 masks from its emergency stockpile maintained for any possible outbreaks of zoonotic disease.

The zoo has also registered its two ventilators to the state registry. The larger animal ventilator is more powerful and has more air to push. The zoo is looking into the possibility to modify the ventilator to be able to breath for several people at one time.

The Akron Zoo is closed until further notice. The zoo will make updates on its website and social media.
