Head to your Akron Zoo and celebrate the wonders of our planet. Learn how simple conservation efforts can make a remarkable difference to wildlife in your own backyard and beyond. Enjoy tips and giveaways from numerous green vendors including Metro RTA, City Srape & Salvage, Renewal by Anderson and many more.

The zoo's mascot Conrad Conservation will be making an appearence at the zoo too.

You can help our environment by participate in Akron Zoo’s first-ever paper drive. At Party for the Planet our friends from River Valley Paper Company will be providing green, flowery collection containers for paper recycling. 

Bring any of the following:

•  Newspapers
• Phonebooks
• Office and School Paper
• Magazines
• Brown Paper Bags
• Catalogs
• Mail (with or without plastic windows)
• Cardboard

Please bring any of these paper items as you enter the Welcome Center; please do not bring plastic bottles or bags, Styrofoam, aluminum, metals or glass. All items will be collected before you enter the zoo.
